Job summary

Have you ever considered working on Outpatients?

If yes, this is an exciting opportunity to work within an outpatient environment at one of the UK's leading NHS laser clinics. The Clinic was the first to deliver laser treatment for Port Wine Stain birthmarks on the NHS in 1982 and has since developed to provide a wide range of skin laser treatments. We are extremely proud of our passionate, professional team who are devoted to delivering the highest level of friendly, safe and patient-centred care.

The department have a current vacancy to recruit a part time Band 3 Senior Nursing Assistant (18 hours per week) to join the team. We require the post holder to be an enthusiastic and motivatedNursingAssistant to join our friendly and dynamic team to deliver high quality and evidenced based care to NHS and private patients attending their outpatient's appointment.

The role will require flexibility as the post holder will not only work alongside the Laser Team, but also our colleagues in Dermatology Outpatients as necessary. The post holder will therefore be required to provide support over a wide range of service/functions. The role consists of two days a week, but shorter shifts can be discussed over more working days for the successful applicant. The post holder will have to be able to demonstrate at interview that there is flexibility with their working days, so all current activity can be covered in a safe and timely manner.

Main duties of the job

The clinics in Laser and Dermatology are run alongside Consultants and Nurses. The role will entail organising patient notes and prepping clinics, ensuring correct equipment is available, assisting in clinics, acting as a chaperone and helping the patient to have a exceptional experience during their consultation.

This role offers someone the chance to learn new skills in looking after skin conditions and its associated anatomy and physiology in a friendly, relaxed environment.
