Are you interested in type 1 diabetes and technologies? We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for a motivated, dynamic leader to join our Diabetes & Endocrine team at Salisbury Foundation Trust. Diabetes management is moving forwards at a pace we have not seen before. We are looking for individuals to join our team to work with our newly recruited diabetes nurses to develop our type 1 technology service, with opportunities to also develop interest within endocrinology. Working on a recently refurbished ward there is no better time to join our team.
There is a generous relocation package available to candidates, up to a maximum of £8,000 (terms and conditions apply)
Main duties of the job
The team at Salisbury Trust are looking for an enthusiastic individual to help us take our type 1 diabetes service into the future at this exciting time with so many new technologies available. This post is a replacement permanent post for a Consultant in Diabetes, Endocrinology & GIM. There is also the opportunity to develop an interest in other areas of diabetes and endocrinology depending on interest and experience. We are flexible so please contact us to discuss any details prior to interview date.
This post provides an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join a dynamic team of consultants within the service but also as a wider member of the Medicine Division Consultant team. The duties will combine outpatient diabetes and endocrine clinics, as well as some ward based general medicine.
We currently have a bed base of 22 inpatients, accepting patients with both speciality and general medical problems. We undertake inpatient ward rounds on 4 days a week. There is currently no requirement to undertake GIM on-call.
