An opportunity has arisen for you to join the newly created Imber team in our modern, state-of-the-art ward opening in Spring 2024! This will be a busy and demanding environment and the successful candidate will need to be a dynamic individual with the ability to build strong relationships and support the vision of our organisation. Critical requirements are a willingness to learn, improve the patient journey, support a strong approach to team working and drive to make a difference.

The successful candidate will also be required to work using their own initiative, yet be able to identify when to seek help and advice. You should have excellent communication and IT skills. Previous experience of working in a health care environment would be beneficial, but not essential, and full training will be given on appointment.

Main duties of the job

Imber ward will be 24 beds caring for elderly inpatients . You will work alongside the nursing team and will communicate with various teams across the trust including, Consultants, pharmacy, schedulers, secretaries and ofcourse, patients.

You will act as main point of contact for the ward, welcoming patients, visitors and other members of staff. You will ensure patients are admitted in a timely fashion on our hospital system called Lorenzo, ensure medical notes are available for the nursing team. You will be communicating queries and relaying information. You will be responsible for stationary orders and ensuring all current documentation on the ward is up to date and accurate.
