Job summary

The 3 acute trusts of Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust and Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust have combined their procurement and supply chain management teams into one function that will support the Bath, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW) Integrated Care System (ICS). The Head of Sourcing & Contract Management will be responsible for providing a procurement service that will assist in the delivery of the vision, business plans and financial and quality targets of the constituent members working as one procurement function for the wider BSW ICS construct. They will ensure that it operates within public sector policy, the NHS legal framework and the internal operating budget to successfully achieve its objectives

  1. the delivery of demonstrable and incremental cash releasing and efficiency savings that form part of the cost improvement plans of the constituent organisations
  2. the development, letting and management of fully compliant contracts which provide both value and meet clinical need
  3. to develop, inspire and manage a geographically dispersed sourcing team
  4. To deputise for the Director and Deputy Director of Procurement at Executive Level and also across the wider procurement team to include Supply Chain, Systems and Operational Procurement
