Return to Practice Student (Adult and Child nursing); Test of Competence. Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust are offering a limited number of clinical placement opportunities for applicants wishing to complete the NMC Test of Competence route to Return to Practice. Positions starting January 2024.
Main duties of the job
The jobholder will be undertaking a training programme within the Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust Hospital to complete the NMC Test of Competence and will have been out of practice for 5 years or less. The Test of Competence is made up of two parts: a multiple-choice computer based theoretical test known as the CBT and a practical test known as the OSCE. You can take a test that's relevant to the field that you'll be practising in, regardless of your initial registration.
In order to prepare you will be assigned to a clinical area where it is expected you will work for 12 weeks for a minimum of 30hrs/week. 15hrs/week will be paid supernumerary time and up to 22.5hrs/week non-supernumerary, both paid at Band 4. Additional training will be provided to help support you with OSCE skill stations and one week of paid study leave is included. The jobholder will be expected to adhere to the 24hr shift pattern.
