Job summary

An exciting opportunity to try something new! We are looking for an experienced clinical pharmacist to be our orthopaedic pharmacy lead at Salisbury and teach on the University of Bath Clinical Pharmacy Diploma (secondary care) programme.

We are highly regarded, friendly and supportive teams who work together to help deliver the best possible medicines outcomes to our patients via our ward based clinical pharmacy service and postgraduate education provision.

Main duties of the job

The pharmacist we are looking for will be a strong clinician, organised, hardworking and dedicated with great communication skills and a passion for education and training. You will need to have a Postgraduate Clinical Diploma (or equivalent experience) and ideally be a current non-medical prescriber or willing to work towards the qualification. The role will focus on continually improving the clinical pharmacy service provided to our orthopaedic wards and to develop, deliver and assess units of teaching on the AP3T clinical pharmacy diploma at Bath University

You will be responsible for providing a high-quality patient-focused clinical pharmacy service; improving medicines safety through medicines reconciliation, discharge planning and utilising independent prescribing skills.

Current delivery of the AP3T university course is online so there is the possibility of some home/hybrid working
