Job summary

The Stars Appeal is Salisbury District Hospital's NHS charity. Every day, projects funded by the Stars Appeal help hundreds of patients across all wards and departments at Salisbury District Hospital and supports the NHS staff who care for them.

This is a great opportunity for a fundraising professional to join us as Events and Community Fundraising Manager and to manage and deliver a range of fundraising initiatives including major events, community fundraising, raffles and lotteries and the hospital bookshop, supported by teams of volunteers.

Main duties of the job

Maximising income by independently managing, organising and working with volunteers to deliver a range of event and community fundraising initiatives including :

  • Major events such as the Walk for Wards and Rockbourne Fair
  • Supporting community fundraising by individual supporters, community groups and employees from local businesses
  • The charity's Bookshop
  • Raffles and lotteries
  • Associated communication and promotion across a variety of channels
  • Related administration and use of CRM system
