Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy and progressive Urology Nursing Team with the opportunity in recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to our team (providing maternity leave cover)
Our team includes 6 Consultant Urologists, Nurse Specialists, Allied Health Professional and a Nursing team which delivers outpatient services to our local community.
The Urology Department at Salisbury District Hospital is dynamic, enthusiastic and forward thinking and provides high quality core and sub-specialist urology to our local population.
Innovative treatments are also offered within the Trust including Blue light cystoscopy, UROLIFT, REZUM, sequential BCG/EMDA Mitomycin-C in high risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer, MP MRI and template precision-point prostate biopsies.
The Department is located within its own building and has dedicated clinic and treatment rooms, supported by our own administrative and nursing support teams.
Main duties of the job
The post will involve you working in some or all of the areas of the urology department assisting with outpatient procedures such as prostate biopsies, flexible cystoscopy and facilitating the smooth running of out-patient clinics.
