Job summary

Safeguarding Practitioner - MASH Health Team

Do you have a genuine passion for safeguarding children and supporting families? The MASH Health Team is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician to further develop their safeguarding expertise in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

We are looking for a practitioner with a strong background in working with vulnerable children, their families, and/or adults with care and support needs. You'll bring excellent communication skills, professional curiosity, adaptability, resilience, and--importantly--a sense of humour to help you thrive in a pressured but highly rewarding setting.

Main duties of the job

As a key member of theMASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub), you will:

  • Represent health partners within the MASH. You'll analyse health records, liaise with professionals, and analyse information to produce high-quality health information shares. You will also contribute to strategy discussions and support effective multi-agency decision-making.

A significant part of your work will be collaborating closely with partners to safeguard children and young people. You will also take part in wider multi-agency meetings and strategy discussions to protect individuals experiencing safeguarding issues such as domestic abuse, exploitation, neglect and other safeguarding concerns.

Although this is not a patient-facing role, you will draw on your clinical expertise to analyse health records through a safeguarding lens and contribute to key decision-making. You will also provide guidance to non-clinical colleagues on the impact of health issues on children and their families.

  • You may be asked to support audits and evaluations, contributing to continuous improvement across the service.
  • You will part of a supportive and friendly Safeguarding team within Oxford Health.
  • Unique opportunity to develop your safeguarding practice within a supportive environment
