Job summary

We are recruiting for a full-time Asset Manager to join our Estates Team. This pivotal role will see you managing the Trust's asset management programme, ensuring buildings, infrastructure and equipment are not only maintained to the highest standards but also future-ready through smart lifecycle planning.

You'll lead and maintain the Trust's asset management program ensuring assets are maintained to statutory and industry best practice standards ensuring a well maintained, safe and secure environment for the Trusts patients, staff, and visitors. You'll ensureall buildings, plant & infrastructure are maintained safely and cost effectively within agreed statutory requirements, in accordance with NHS and the Trust's policies and procedures.

We're looking for someone who thrives on problem-solving, can communicate confidently with colleagues and contractors, and is motivated to innovate. You'll need to have a detailed understanding of asset management, tagging, logging and maintaining trust assets as well as developing and implementing an asset lifecycle program, to ensure all assets are being replaced appropriately.

Main duties of the job

  • Ensure that the testing, validating, certification and registering of all the Trusts Estates Statutory Compliance requirements are scheduled and undertaken by either the in-house team, PFI service providers or qualified sub-contractors to ensure the Trust complies with its responsibilities; including but not limited to: Water safety, electrical work, lifting equipment, asbestos, PAT testing, fixed wiring, constructure design and management, permits to work, health and safety, electrical and mechanical operational management, fire detection and suppression systems, ventilation and air conditioning, generator testing, security systems.
  • Ensure that the asset registers uploaded into the CAFM system are up to date through the management of asset validation surveys
  • Monitor and analyse asset performance, including utilisation, maintenance costs and downtime.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on asset management activities to senior management.
  • Develop a life cycle asset management program and produce a schedule to include all assets, life cycle information and estimated cost for replacement.
  • Assist the E&F senior management in identifying assets which could be under or over- maintained on planned maintenance by analysing reactive call data.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practice relating to asset management
