The closing date is 03 September 2025

Job summary

We are recruiting for a new Lead for Psychological Services within ourLearning Disability Directorate to lead our teams in ensuring those with the most complex needs receive the care and treatment they require, to live happy and successful lives.

In this role we need skilled and dedicated clinicians who understand that the smallest of changes can make the biggest difference to some of the most marginalised people in our society. It's important that you feel passionate about ensuring good clinical outcomes and can support our Psychologists to work in a goal focused way.

With previous experience within the Healthcare Service, you'll be responsible for ensuring that high quality care is delivered, so we'll not only need you to inspire, but also to be emotionally aware in order to get the best out of the people around you and develop as a service.

This may be through upskilling, problem solving with other Clinical Leads and Managers, providing regular supervision, supporting other members of staff with a focus on development and improvement or through investigating complaints and grievances.

We're a small directorate, with a highly skilled team who carry out specialist and complex work; we're supportive, inclusive and there's always someone around for support. No two days are ever the same, so, if you're looking for an opportunity to step up into senior leadership and develop your skills, with plenty of variety, then we are the team for you!
