Looking for a varied and rewarding term-time only role?

We're recruiting a part-time Admin/Healthcare Support Worker (22.5 hours/week, term-time only) to join our School Aged Immunisation Service, based in Banbury and covering North and West Oxfordshire.

We're looking for a proactive, adaptable, and motivated individual with strong administration and clinical skills, and experience working with children or young people, ideally in schools.

Flexibility is essential, with occasional early starts (from 07:30), evening/weekend work, and travel across Oxfordshire as needed.

To be eligible, applicants must meet at least one of the following:

  • Trained and worked as a vaccinator in a COVID/vaccination centre
  • Level 3+ on the NHS Careers Framework with clinical experience
  • Level 3+ and recent immunisation role experience

Main duties of the job

Your role will be to support the School Aged Immunisation team in organising, managing and delivering the school-based immunisation programme in all schools. You will be required to attend immunisation sessions in schools and community clinics to provide administrative support and within your role as Healthcare Support Worker you will be required to administer the Flu vaccinations to young people following the supply of the vaccine by an appropriately Registered Healthcare Professional. You will also be required to attend vaccination sessions to observe students who may feel unwell post vaccination. Full training will be given.

The role requires travel to schools and community venues, so you need to be a car driver with access to a car. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010. Mileage from base will be paid.
