Are you a qualified Mental Health Nurse looking for a new challenge?
We are expanding the current Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment service in Oxfordshire for adults and older adults.We want to recruit full time Mental Health Nurses to deliver evidence-based recovery focused assessment and treatment for patients who are moving out of inpatient services.
We want to do something different that works for our service users and to deliver this there is a recognition that we need the skills of Mental Health Nurses to help us spearhead the development of these services.
We will offer opportunities for professional development and opportunities to influence and contribute to service development. You will be provided with regular supervision, appraisal and support. The work involves shifts across 24 hours (including nights) and a variety of shift patterns and working arrangements are available including long days and long nights - we welcome flexible working requests.
The service is currently based in Oxford City, but will expand to cover the whole county and develop to include crisis response and inpatient gatekeeping.
Main duties of the job
Crisis Clinicians will deliver recovery-focused psycho-social crisis intervention to service users and their families and will coordinate plans of care with other Oxford Health teams and other agencies ensuring transitions between services are safe and seamless.
Oxford Health works in partnership with 5 third sector providers as part of the Oxford Mental Health Partnership (OMHP), and the new crisis service will be working closely with partners, in particular, Oxfordshire Mind and the Safe Haven services in order to ensure diversity and choice of service for people experiencing a mental health crisis. Crisis Clinicians must have the skills and aptitude to work creatively and proactively with our third sector partners.
