We are looking for a Deputy Clinical Team Manager for the Anxiety and Depression in Young People Clinic (Oxon Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). You will be supporting the Clinical Team Manager by undertaking both clinical and operational duties to ensure that we continue to deliver a high quality service to our children and young people.

We're an established team and are currently developing our service to improve the accessibility, responsiveness and excellent care that we provide to children, young people and their families.

You will be part of a leadership team that meet frequently and work closely together; we're a supportive team with regular managers meetings and opportunities for coaching or mentoring.

Main duties of the job

  • Undertake mental health and risk assessments for children and young people within the AnDY Team.
  • Work collaboratively with families and external agencies to develop holistic, evidence-based care plans.
  • Manage a small clinical caseload, providing key working and evidence-based interventions in a hybrid working model (office and remote).
  • Support the Clinical Team Manager with operational responsibilities, including staff supervision, case management, and deputising when required.
  • Contribute to ongoing service development, from initial planning through to implementation and evaluation.

Supported by the NIHR Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre, the clinic aims to develop innovative early intervention treatments for children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties. It delivers a cutting-edge psychological service that also supports clinical research, focusing on meeting the needs of a diverse population.

The clinic offers brief, evidence-based treatments for children and young people aged 517 with anxiety, depression, or obsessive-compulsive difficulties that significantly affect daily life. Interventions typically last 68 sessions and are delivered one-to-one by Childrens Wellbeing Practitioners under the supervision of senior Clinical Psychologists, either in person or online. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys team-based work, service development, and improving outcomes for children and young people.   • A recorded/registered qualification in one of the following - nursing, social work, occupational therapy or a psychological therapy
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and maintenance of relevant professional qualification

Desirable

  • Professional knowledge acquired through degree/diploma A recorded/registered doctoral level qualification in clinical or counselling psychology with current HCPC registration
  • Teaching/mentoring qualification
  • Leadership training

  • Significant post qualification experience in a mental health setting, working with young people with mental illness
  • Experience of mentoring and clinical supervision of others
