Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and motivated Dietitian to join the specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team at the Highfield Unit in Oxford on a maternity cover basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a dietetic professional passionate about supporting young people with eating disorders to join a dedicated multidisciplinary team. Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake comprehensive dietetic assessments and develop individualised care plans
  • Provide guidance on meal plans and nasogastric feeding regimes
  • Support patients and families with behavioural and emotional aspects of nutritional care
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and clinical reviews
  • Deliver training to student dietitians and new staff member

Essential

  • Degree in Dietetics or post graduate qualification in nutrition and dietetics
  • Current state registration with the Health Professions Council

Desirable

  • Evidence of CPD in a range of settings relevant to the post, for example with inpatient eating disorder units , BDA mental health study days ,Avoidant Restrictive food intake disorder (Arfid)

Experience

Essential

  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of child and adolescent requirements

Desirable

  • Some previous experience treating clients with eating disorders
  • Experience of working with parents/ guardians.

Personal qualitites/Aptitude

Essential

  • The ability to work unsupervised for extended periods of time
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Team worker with good interpersonal skills

  • Can demonstrate knowledge of the issues surrounding working with clients with eating disorders
