Job summary

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced clinical psychologists to join our teaching team at the Oxford DClinPsych where full training and support will be provided to help you help us train future clinical psychologists for the NHS workforce.

The DClinPsych sits within the Oxford Centre for Psychological Health which is a unit within Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust closely linked to the University of Oxford and the Department of Experimental Psychology.

Staff are employed on NHS contracts with access to University facilities.

The centre comprises the Oxford Institute for Clinical Psychology Training and Research, Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre and the Oxford Health Specialist Psychological Intervention Centre as well as a new systemic family therapy training unit.

We are a fast-growing organisation which delivers training and clinical services from an evidence based perspective, and are seeking new staff to join our friendly and dynamic team based at the Warneford Hospital, Oxford (with some flexible working from home being possible). CBT and Systemic/Family therapy interests are strongly encouraged.

Please note if you are based outside of the UK you will need to hold HCPC registration in order to be considered for this role

Main duties of the job

Plan, organise and coordinate key aspects of the DClinPsych Training Programme
Teach individuals and help them reach their full potential
Work with the team to support development of the service
Work with the lead for the People with Experience Group (PEG) to integrate personal experience matters throughout curriculum
Keep up-to-date with knowledge of legislation, national and local policies

Several posts available:

Minimum of 0.6 FTE (22.5 hours per week) up to full time (37.5 hours per week). We can consider 8a preceptorships as well as the 8b posts available.

AFT Intermediate Level accreditation or beyond.

Experience of working at an appropriate organisational level within a NHS/University setting
Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of a variety of clinical presentations.

Desirable

Experience of supervision and formal training in clinical psychology training
Post-Doctoral research experience that may include carrying out applied research, supervising research work, publishing research and collaborating with others.
Experience of working with Service Users in the co-creation of teaching and research
