We are recruiting for a Health and Skills Facilitator to join our multi-disciplinary team based at Manzil Way in Oxford working closely with the Thames Valley Integrated OPD Pathway Service providing service across the Thames Valley Region.

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for an experienced candidate to be involved in psychological health and risk-reduction interventions within our developing Integrated OPD Pathway Service.

We provide specialist assessment, treatment and consultation to high-risk, high harm people on probation with personality difficulties/experiences of early life trauma. We are looking for a proactive, approachable person who is passionate about multi agency working and providing direct and indirect input to a stigmatised and marginalised population.

We are jointly commissioned by the NHS and Probation Service and are responsible for providing psychological input into Probation teams including case identification and pathway management.

Our team consists of staff from several disciplines including administrators, forensic psychologists, an occupational therapy assistant, probation officers, a probation service officer and a team lead.

This role includes an RSU allowance of £1,446 per annum on top of your salary.

Applicants must have a full valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work. Adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010 where required.

Main duties of the job

You'll be assisting in the provision of specialist psychological interventions for the Enhanced Intensive Integrated and Risk Management Service (EIIRMS) users in community settings.

  • Work effectively as a member of the EIIRMS team in the provision of a psychosocial and psychologically-informed service to service users with complex needs, including personality difficulties and high levels of risk and offending.
  • Work as directed and under supervision with service users to assist in the identification of psychosocial needs, goals and the delivery of individual and group interventions to achieve these therapeutic goals.
  • Liaise closely with other disciplines and agencies to ensure clients ongoing and additional needs are met, and to promote effective multidisciplinary and interagency working.
  • You will be required to successfully complete an Enhanced Level 1 Vetting with HMPPS/Ministry of Justice in order to access the HMPPS systems. Enhanced Level 1 clearance is valid for 5 years.

This role involves working with service users who have histories of violent offending and interpersonal difficulties.
