We are recruiting for an Allied Health Professional (AHP) Clinical Lead to join us on a 12 -month fixed term contract at the Wareneford Hospital, supporting AHPs working in our inpatient wards and community teams for CAMHS and Adult Eating Disorders (ED). We are looking for an experienced AHP to join our leadership team in supporting our AHPs working in CAMHS and adult ED in the Oxfordshire, Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon & Wiltshire Mental Health Directorate. You'll play a key role in providing leadership, direction and a voice for the AHPs within the CAMHS and adult ED services.

You will be well supported by the AHP leadership team as well as the research and development team, enabling you to grow in to the role and make it your own.

Main duties of the job

  • You'll be working clinically up to two days a week with the Adult Community Eating Disorders Team in Oxford developing the Holding Hope pathway providing AHP leadership and managing clinical cases
  • Working alongside senior MDT members and professional leads you will provide leadership, direction and a voice for the Allied Health Professions within the CAMHS and adult ED services in Oxfordshire, Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon & Wiltshire Mental Health Directorate and enable strategic development of the professions in accordance with national and local NHS guidance.
  • You will be accountable for the professional and clinical performance of AHP staff and provide representative and advisory role within these services for matters relating to AHP'
  • Provide specialist clinical assessments and interventions in a relevant field in line with experience and provide the professional supervision in the service lines.
  • Develop and support research capabilities for AHP's in mental health
