An opportunity has arisen to further your nursing career within our District Nursing Service as a District Nursing Locality Lead in the South West locality in Oxfordshire.

You will be responsible for leading a District Nursing Team, operationally line managing staff and focusing on clinical service development and educational workstreams with senior service leads.

You will work in an integrated way with other the District Nursing Locality Lead and Advanced District Nurse Specialist to lead the District Nursing locality.

You will work clinically within the District Nursing locality, with patients in their own homes, clinics and care homes.

  • To provide strong, integrated clinical leadership and management of the District Nursing team, working especially closely with the District Nursing Lead Advanced District Nurse Specialist.
  • To lead on the educational agenda in the area, and to lead on specific educational work streams.
  • To lead on service development in the District Nursing team, ensuring delivery of skilled nursing care to patients whose needs are best met in the community.
  • To act as a conduit between the integrated leadership team and the District Nursing team.
  • To be accountable for the management, development and supervision of identified staff within the team.
