Job summary

We are looking for Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join our passionate team, working alongside nurses, doctors, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, family therapists, and dieticians, to make a real difference.

Cotswold House Marlborough is a 12 bedded mixed gender ward which offers inpatient and day patient treatment to adults with an eating disorder.

We have a skilful and dedicated MDT team including nurses and HCAs, and within this team you will be directly involved in the assessment, care planning, and delivery of treatment. Each patient has a dedicated care team whom works closely alongside colleagues to support the individual patient. You will also assist in other ward and team duties as directed by the registered nurse.

Main duties of the job

The role importantly involves shift work which provides cover 24 hours, 7 days a week. This includes nights and weekends. It is a varied role that can be rich and rewarding, and you will be valued and supported by the team around you.

As a member of the nursing team the post holder is expected to demonstrate attitudinal competence through a professional, approachable, and helpful manner towards patients, their families and carers, visitors, and colleagues throughout the organisation. The post holder is expected to actively support high standards of care delivery.
