Job summary

Abingdon Community Hospital is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Receptionist to join the team.

The reception role covers the whole of the Abingdon Hospital Site, as well as manning the main telephone switchboard the role includes reception duties for the outpatient clinics held on site, all postal services for the site and sign posting members of the public to the correct departments.

Main duties of the job

This role includes direct contact with patients and members of the public attending the hospital. The main reception number is the only one advertised to the public and therefore all phone calls into the site are directed through the main reception.

This is an important role to ensure the efficient running of the hospital and outpatient areas and to ensure patients and visitors to the hospital are safe and cared for.
