The Adult Mental Health Team (AMHT) in Banbury are advertising for a Community Support Time and Recovery (STR) Worker to contribute to caring for and supporting adults with severe mental illness within the Banbury and surrounding villages.

The North & West Oxon AMHT serves a diverse and multicultural population and support adults of working age (18-65) who are experiencing severe and enduring mental illnesses requiring specialist care and treatment. The Banbury team covers the geographical area of Banbury and surrounding villages, as well as the market town of Brackley. The team is part of the wider AMHT patch which includes the Witney AMHT that covers Witney and Chipping Norton. Both teams align with clusters of locality GP practises. You will need to be a dedicated, patient focused and highly motivated individual, who has some experience of mental health support work, working effectively as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team.

We use the principles of a flexible assertive community treatment (FACT) model of healthcare, which enables us to be focused on the recovery of the patient through a team/multidisciplinary (MDT) approach; with expertise from doctors, social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, support workers and psychological therapies staff.
