Then come and join our team as a Sales and Marketing Officer!

The aim of this role is to support the Sales and Marketing strategy at Oxford Pharmacy Store (OPS), an NHS owned UK pharmaceutical wholesaler, with a focus on supporting internal and external communications and assisting with customer and supplier relationship management.

The role requires an enthusiastic, organised individual, ideally with relevant qualifications and demonstrable experience in a sales, marketing and/or or customer services-based role.

Main duties of the job

  • To support the Sales and Marketing strategy at OPS aimed at increasing revenues and enhancing the OPS brand.
  • To handle day-to-day customer and supplier enquiries via phone, email, website.
  • To prepare marketing publications for customers and oversee the distribution of newsletters, mailings, presentations website and electronic communications.
  • To develop and maintain the OPS website and social media channels.
  • To develop and maintain customer services function
  • To develop and implement marketing projects, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • To maintain and produce OPS publications and marketing materials.
  • To actively promote OPS's products and services and search out new business opportunities.
  • To support relationship management and alliances with customers and suppliers.
  • To prepare data and reports for internal meetings and in response to external tenders for supply of goods and /or services.

  • Understanding of importance of accuracy with respect to medicines distribution, stock control and record keeping.

Desirable

  • Understanding of current NHS agenda and Pharmacy services.
  • Understanding of financial systems.
  • Understanding of GDP.

  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of working experience.
  • Demonstrable level of IT Knowledge.
  • Literate and numerate.

Desirable

  • Professional Registration with relevant body.
  • Further professional sales or marketing qualification from a recognized body

Experience

  • Previous sales, marketing, or customer-services experience.
  • Previous customer relationship management experience.

Desirable

  • Experience of working in the NHS or within a pharmaceutical setting.
