An exciting opportunity as arisen for a full time Senior Pharmacy Assistant within our NHS Dispensary in Weston on the Green, Bicester.
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant to join our dedicated Pharmacy team in the local delivery of high quality Pharmacy services to patients within Oxford Health Foundation trust.
Main duties of the job
This post would be suitable for anybody who has previous Pharmacy experience, including community Pharmacy experience and looking to transition to hospital Pharmacy, or anybody looking for a new challenge and is keen to learn and work within a dedicated team. Full appropriate training will be provided.
You will have a variety of duties within the department, involving the supply of stock drugs to wards and departments within the Trust across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Wiltshire.
As part of a team you will perform tasks such as picking ward stock orders ensuring they reach the wards in a timely manner, booking in deliveries from wholesalers and processing returns
You will also be involved in the labelling and dispensing of medication using the Pharmacy system Ascribe
An NVQ level 2 in pharmacy would be desirable and experience of working in a pharmaceutical related or hospital environment would be an advantage however full training will be provided in the department.

- To assist with stock management by generating and receipting orders, and supply stock to Oxford health Sites
