An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and innovative Practice Receptionist/Administration Assistant who has an interest in services for homeless people
This job won't give you fame or fortune, or glamour, but you will wake in the morning knowing that today you could change the course of someone's life.
The nature of this key role is often challenging and demanding that requires skills to handle all contacts confidently with compassion, patience and professionalism. Good communication skills are essential for this role when dealing with patients, carer's, colleagues, and other professionals.
The ideal candidate will have emotional resilience, be well organised with a flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a team.
The post holder will be responsible for the administration of the day to day operations and ongoing support of the service. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, with excellent verbal and written communication skills plus, good computer literacy.
Receptionist/administrative experience in a similar setting will be advantageous.
Main duties of the job
During working hours (between 08:00-18:30) the Senior Receptionist / Administrator will assist with general duties under the direction of the Reception & Administration Manager Ensuring that a professional, efficient service is provided to staff, patients and the public at all times.
This role requires using a combination of communications equipment and information systems to deliver a strong and professional single point of access.
Receptionists will not be involved in making clinical decisions; however, there are strong procedures to guide them through situations that might otherwise seem 'grey'. Nonetheless, initiative and a certain level of autonomy will be required but support will be provided.
