Job summary
Are you a BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who would like the opportunity to be part of an innovative new primary care mental health service for people with serious and complex mental health conditions?
The NHS Oxfordshire Keystone Mental Health and Wellbeing Hubs are a new service, that have been funded as part of the CMHF. These hubs will provide a range of accessible psychosocial support services to those with SMI to help them live well and thrive in their communities. Local hub teams will offer MDT input from a range of support services to ensure clients do not fall down gaps between services.As part of the development of these Hubs, a new role has been created for a Band 7 CBT therapist to work as part of the North Locality Service. You will be working across both Cowley and Kidlington Hubs.
We recognise the importance of meaningful CPD opportunities to support career progression, and there will be opportunities to access HEE training in additional therapy modalities, as well as to be involved in quality improvement and service development projects. You will be part of a supportive psychological therapies team comprised of assistant psychologists, psychological therapies, applied psychologists and trainees.
We have strong links with the Oxford Centre for Psychological Health that includes Oxford Centre for Cognitive Therapy (OCTC) and Oxford Institute for Clinical Psychology Training, which is hosted by the Trust.
Main duties of the job
Your role will include the provision of a specialist assessment and therapy service for people with serious and complex mental health conditions, including complex emotional needs, depression, bipolar and psychosis. You may be providing individual and group interventions, using specialist CBT models as well as mentalisation-based therapies, compassion focussed therapies and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. You will also be providing consultation and advice to other members of the MDT team, as well as partners within other health services and community services, to ensure the provision of effective psychologically-informed and person-centred pathways. Therefore, you will enjoy partnership working, collaboration and engagement with colleagues from a range of professional backgrounds.
