Job summary

This is an ideal opportunity to grow your interpersonal and project management skills. Oxford Health is embarking on a two year project that will transform the way in which it uses its core HR system, the national NHS Electronic Staff Record(ESR) system and prepare us the next generation of this system which should be available from 2026. The successful candidate will work with NHS Shared Business Services, who will act as external consultants providing expert ESR knowledge and leading on some of the work. The post holder will manage a team of 2 administrators and lead the project from an internal perspective working closely with wider members of the HR team, the communications and finance teams and operational colleagues.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible to the People Systems Program Board for the delivery of:

  • Implementation of ESR Manager Self Service.
  • Review the functionality of establishment control management in ESR and implement if appropriate.
  • Review other ESR functionality that is not currently utilised and implement where beneficial.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all data within ESR pertaining to positions.

The successful applicant will join the HR Systems and Reporting team which manages Oxford Health's people systems and workforce data including payroll and e-rostering for nearly 7000 staff. The team consisting of approximately 27 staff works mainly remotely with some requirements to visit Trust sites predominantly in Oxford.
