Job summary

We are looking for a highly motivated, digitally experienced pharmacy technician to join the ePMA Team to work closely with the ePMA clinical lead and ePMA lead pharmacy technician to help in the configuration, planning and implementation of our chosen ePMA system to be used Trust wide for in-patients and outpatient services.

The trust has completed the first phase of their role out within mental health inpatient ward and therefore it is a very exciting time to get involved in this project as we start the next phase.

Participation in the extended hours roster during go lives, and you will also be expected to participate in the pharmacy weekend working rota.

Main duties of the job

If you were successful in your application you would expect to be a key member of the ePMA/Digital medicines project clinical team and also of the wider pharmacy team.

You will work closely with the ePMA clinical lead and ePMA lead pharmacy technician using expert knowledge and experience to support the development and continued use of the ePMA system.

As key member of the clinical ePMA team you will be actively involved in the training Trust staff in the use of the ePMA system as well as supporting development of training packages.

You will also help with implementation of medicines configuration on the ePMA systems and also in assessing requests from ePMA users for amendments to medicines configuration settings.

You will be involved in Go Live week floor walking to ensure the safe and successful delivery of ePMA across all the Trust sites. This will include some flexible working patterns to ensure support can be offered across all the medication administration rounds.

You will maintain clinical activity on a sessional basis in the dispensary and/or on wards, to maintain a your clinical skills.

  • NVQ Level 3 in pharmacy services or equivalent with experience
  • GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician
  • Evidence of CPD

  • Project Management e.g. PRINCE
