We are seeking a Head of Transformation (secondment/fixed term contract) for 18 months to work closely with the Director of Transformation and the wider team to lead on delivery of some key enabler workstreams that underpin our Community Services Transformation Programme. We have an ambitious but now well-defined plan following the establishment of the Community Services Transformation Programme in Summer 2023 that closely aligns to our Trust-wide strategy alongside our Oxfordshire 'place based' strategies and priorities.
Main duties of the job
The Head of Transformation post will particularly focus on delivering our:
- Estates configuration plan that encompasses our exciting new Oxford healthcare hubs project
- Strategic integration and partnerships to enable community services to successfully deliver its part in the Oxfordshire Improvement Programme (Placed based system wide urgent and emergency care programme)
- Digital and innovation agenda that directly contributes to our transformation programme objectives
- Transformation development plan around culture
- Patient, carer and family engagement approaches across our transformation workstreams

To be successful in this role you will need to have demonstrable significant senior previous experience in leading and delivering large and complex change programmes and projects utilising the full suite of change methodologies and tools alongside working across traditional boundaries and through matrix working across services/teams/organisations. The ability to quickly develop trusted working relationships with colleagues, system partners and local community stakeholders acting with integrity, transparency and a strong visible leadership presence will also be critical. Knowledge of the Oxfordshire health and care system would be advantageous but not essential.
The post holder will deputise for the Transformation Director as required.
Applications are welcome from internal and external applicants on either a secondment or fixed term contract basis.
The working hours are full time (37.5 hours per week). Working pattern has some degree of flexibility/ hybrid working. The role will be based at a community services/Trust site such as Littlemore HQ, Blackbird Leys Centre or Abingdon Community Hospital with an expectation of regular in person presence at sites (2 / 3 days a week) or other partner/ community sites aligned to the areas of focus for this role.
