Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen in Complex Needs Service to recruit a Team Therapist (Band 6). We provide a cross county network of services across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire for people who have severe emotional or mental health difficulties sometimes described as 'personality disorder' or 'complex needs'.
This post offers the opportunity to gain experience in working in a psychotherapeutic service offering intensive group work within a Therapeutic Community and other psychological models of treatment.

Job responsibilities
The successful applicant will need to have a core mental health qualification and/or a psychotherapy qualification
Carrying out psychological assessment and formulation, risk assessment and development of crisis plans
Work along side colleagues to deliver psychotherapeutic groups in line with the service model
Work flexibly with other CNS team members across the two counties to deliver the service in partnership with stakeholders
Participate in training and support for colleagues and trainees
Carry out and cooperate in audit and service related research
Contribute to the planning and continued delivery of a developing service
Utilise theory, evidence-based literature and research to support evidence based practice
Please note:
- New starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale.
- Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
- Appointment to this post is subject to the trust receiving satisfactory references covering 3 years of employment or study. Please ask your referees to respond promptly to reference requests.
- Employees are expected to undertake mandatory and statutory training related to their role.
