As part of our commitment to improving access to mental health services across Oxfordshire we are implementing multi-disciplinary Primary Care Mental Health Teams, to make it easier for patients (18+) to obtain the help they need, when they need it, within their community.The hub teams will support primary care in offering enhanced mental health assessment and support to people with serious mental health conditions, facilitating early intervention, supporting recovery, and helping them to live well in their community.
We really want to hear from you if you are an enthusiastic HCPC registered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist wanting to develop your clinical, supervisory and leadership skills. We are also happy to hear from other accredited psychological therapists that can demonstrate they meet the person specification.
Main duties of the job
As part of a network of psychological therapists you will lead the development and delivery of psychosocial interventions within an Integrated Community Mental Health pathway. The pathway will have robust community partnership networks, to address the needs of adults and older adults with Serious Mental Illness (SMI).
You will support the Primary Care MH team to focus services in local communities and local GP practices to help rebuild and reconnect healthcare teams across the communities they serve.
You will provide targeted care according to the needs of the population, supporting delivery of the Community Mental Health Framework, PCN clinical strategy and the NHS Long Term Plan.
