Job summary
Oxford Health Foundation Trust Forensic Service is developing and delivering a new integrated model of mental health care for men in prisons across the region. We are looking for forward thinking, innovative, creative, compassionate and thoughtful senior Occupational Therapists who will be able to offer a wide range of interventions in busy and challenging environments. You will be managing a caseload of patients in a person-centered way to plan, deliver and evaluate care, whilst being supported by a well-resourced multidisciplinary team. You will be able to develop your own practice, and support others to develop theirs, in partnership with primary health care providers and prison staff.
Main duties of the job
The postholder is responsible for the provision of a range of graded therapeutic interventions to support service users in areas of self-maintenance, productivity and leisure within the prison relating to their well-being and mental and physical health.
