Job summary

We invite applications for a clinical psychologist to work 1 day per week on the NIHR funded PROPEL research trial. This is a fixed term opportunity for up to 3 years. Applications from less or more experienced clinical psychologists (working at band 7 or 8b) are welcome. This post could be arranged as a fixed term contract with OHFT or by agreement with your employer as a secondment.

The PROPEL trial is an evaluation of personalised prehabilitation in people with acute myeloid Leukaemia (see attached information). As a member of the multidisciplinary team remotely delivering the prehabilitation intervention (emotional wellbeing, physical exercise and nutrition), you would provide psychological assessments and co-develop personalized care plans. You would work with Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners remotely delivering the Guided Self Help ACT based emotional wellbeing component of the intervention. You would receive specialist training and supervision from Dr John Pimm (Consultant Clinical Psychologist) and Professor Chris Graham (Consultant Clinical Psychologist).

Applicants should have doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology. They will be registered with HCPC and have experience of providing psychological assessments and delivering psychological interventions.

We offer expert clinical supervision, CPD and training to support career progression. We have excellent links with the Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre.
