Job summary
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic low intensity practitioner (Children's Wellbeing Practitioner or Educational Mental Health Practitioner) to join a new and exciting project to increase our services to CYP in BSW (Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire).
Under the 'Increasing Access' agenda from the Long Term Plan, we are looking to increase our provision of CWPs in our Getting Help service offering evidence based low intensity CBT interventions, both individually and as groups.
We want someone who is ready to progress into a more senior role (or someone who has already been doing this role) to offer supervision and support to the new CWP posts as well as work with a more senior colleague in shaping and developing the Low intensity provision across the service.
You must have obtained the relevant CWP qualification to apply.
Main duties of the job
Based in BaNES, the role will include offering supervision (attendance on the LI supervision course at the University of Reading will be offered for those without this qualification) and support to the CWPs working across the whole geographical area of BSW. There will also be an opportunity to continue clinical work focusing on more complex CWP cases and get involved in teaching and training across the area.

This role within CAMHS aims to develop the Low Intensity CBT offer within the Getting Help part of our services. It represents an opportunity for clinicians who have knowledge and experience in using evidence-based low intensity interventions to develop their careers, and support the development of this new, exciting service for young people and their families.
The post-holder will supervise, develop, and support graduate and trainee CWPs to provide guided self-help, low intensity, brief, evidence-based CBT and to deliver groups and training where appropriate. The post-holder will work closely with senior colleagues to screen and triage all referrals. The role will also involve highlighting areas of need within the teams and helping to develop the service and create quality improvement plans supported by, and in conjunction with, senior colleagues. The post holder will also hold a small caseload in agreement with their supervisor and in line with their clinical skills.

- New starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale.
- Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
