Then this Project Manager role within the Peer Support team at Oxford Health might be the role for you!

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Project Manager to lead on a short-term project to develop a developmental career path for Peer Support Workers.

Main duties of the job

The primary purpose of this role is to lead on a short-term project to develop a career path within the peer support specialism as Senior Peer workers. This could be 3 months full time or 6 months part time. Lived experience is a distinct type of knowledge which complements and enhances the work of clinicians, who are experts by training. We are keen that peer workers are retained within the lived experience workforce. Currently Oxford Health have very limited Band 4 Peer Worker positions and we are keen to develop a lived experience career pathway.

A core element of the role is to map the current provision across the Trust, benchmark against other Trusts nationally and produce a business case to take forward to the execs. This will involve developing, and leading the documentation and implementation of a variety of core business processes which will operate at service level (working closely with senior managers to deliver this) eg:

  • Scrutinising and overviewing performance
  • Business case development
  • Service improvement and redesign
  • Productivity developments
  • Financial analysis and planning
  • Project management

By working effectively with others, the post holder will contribute to the development of a high performance culture across the directorate and will help secure and sustain business for Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust

This role will therefore require considerable joint working, project management skills, facilitation, and negotiation skills, a can-do attitude and a strong focus on delivery.

  • All new starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process, aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale
