Look no further we are looking to recruit a dynamic team member into a 12 month fixed term contract/secondment who can support the directorate with a cost improvement plan to reduce agency spend and to help develop our flexible workforce.

Main duties of the job

This is a full time post 37.5hrs per week It is a hybrid role, working from home and from bases across the county.

You will be responsible for supporting the Primary, Community and Dental Heads of Services and the Community Transformation team in the development of appropriate systems and processes to manage the flexible workforce operations.

You will have responsibility for facilitating the delivery of flexible workforce through partnership working with the Corporate Temporary Staffing Team to ensure delivery and compliance with key quality and performance indicators and performance targets.

You will work very closely with corporate services including external temporary staffing service providers, Corporate Temporary Staffing Team, HR Transformation Team, business and information teams and the operational managers within community pathways.

You will be required to provide support to the directorate leadership team around quality and the Trust's Improving Quality and Reducing Agency (IQRA) cost improvement initiatives including agency reduction programmes and supporting any relevant panels.

This role sits within the Primary, Community and Dental directorate an exciting place to work. It is an ever evolving directorate which works in tandem with primary and secondary care.

Service Improvement & Management1. Develop and deliver high quality and comprehensive support to the Primary Care, Community and Dental Services Senior Management team and Community Transformation team in relation to the flexible workforce, business development, data management and quality.2. To be the day-to-day liaison with external service providers around operational issues to ensure continued service delivery.3. To raise operational issues in a timely manner with Corporate Temporary Staffing Team.4. Ensure that the quality of all administration processes within the directorate is maintained at the highest level and within acceptable time limits- this includes timely preparation to present required information at agency panels.5. Facilitate the management and security of databases e.g., rostering systems and take a lead role on information governance relating to flexible workforce for the senior management team.6. Liaising where appropriate with the Quality Team around incidents relating to flexible and agency workers.7. Demonstrate a high level of discretion and confidentiality while ensuring that responses to deadlines are met.8. Ensure all contacts with the general public, other agencies and professions are executed effectively and efficiently, and are helpful, courteous and responsive.

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement1. Maintain a range of communication methods to ensure externally that service providers are aware of the directorates requirements.2. Work actively to develop good and effective working relationships with colleagues in the Trust and with individuals and organisations external to the Trust in order to facilitate collaborative working and mutually beneficial solutions to problems.3. Develop and maintain an effective system for receiving and responding to all operational correspondence with flexible workforce external service providers in a timely manner.4. Act as an ambassador for the team in terms of telephone and in personal contacts and as a friendly and competent point of access to the directorate for outside organisations. The post holder will liaise with the external temporary staffing workforce providers operational teams regularly.5. In addition, the post holder will be required to communicate with external service providers and colleagues in the Trust and help to resolve any challenges with communication6. Assimilate, manage and communicate a wide range of information, most of which will be highly sensitive and complex and involves matters relating to flexible workforce cover.

Data Analysis and Financial Resources1. To work in partnership with the Corporate Temporary Staffing Team to develop information and data analytical tools to ensure that targets and activity are monitored and reported in accordance with locally agreed policies and service level agreements.2. Gather, analyse, interpret and present complex data and information and ensure that a robust data collection and monitoring system is in place.3. Analyse business performance information for the senior team and undertake surveys and audits as required.4. On an ongoing basis Identify areas where more effective use can be made of the financial resources available, ensuring that efficiency measures are achieved.5. Produce reports and respond to correspondence within own sphere of responsibility.6. The post holder will ensure that the data provided by the Corporate Temporary Staffing Team regarding demand and fill is shared with the appropriate audiences across the community directorate.

Governance, Research & Development1. Ensure information is appropriately and securely stored, filed and easily retrievable. All such systems must comply with the needs of senior managers as well as meeting good records management standards, GDPR, the Data Protection Act and Freedom of information Act.2. Support the development and delivery of a range of action plans and projects in response to incidents, complaints, audit, staff survey and CQC assessments.3. Support the management team in ensuring robust and effective systems are in place for managing risks and an ongoing quality improvement programme relating to the flexible workforce.4. Initiate and undertake action to ensure learning from projects, clinical audit and service evaluation projects informs improved service delivery.5. Support staff members to initiate service improvement and audit activities/ projects as required.6. To support any ad hoc projects/tasks as agreed with line manager or the corporate priorities around temporary staffing.
