Job summary
The Learning & Development Department are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and innovative individual to join our team and provide administrative support in the Business and Centre team.
The post is based within the Learning & Development Centre working as part of a larger team of administrators to provide an excellent experience for all our learners and visitors to the Centre.
The role is varied with a need for a high level of accuracy, excellent IT skillsand the ability to prioritise workload.
The core hours are 08:00 - 16:00 with some flexibility, working Monday - Friday.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be supporting the Centre and Business team with administrative tasks such as:
- processing NHS England upskilling funding applications and updating spreadsheets to accurately record activity. Liaising with Service and Directorate leads to communicate the agreed funding processes
- administrating and tracking trainee Child and Adolescent psychotherapy funding
- Supporting with financial administration tasks such as processing purchase orders, tender waiver forms, invoicing, tracking financial spend accurately
You should have excellent communication, organisational and inter-personal skills and be experienced in all aspects of administration and financial administration tasks. You should be experienced in using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets in tracking financial details. You will be able to work on your own initiative with competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.

The Business Team provide support to the department with Business activities including but not limited to: funding streams, contractual support, centre management, staff support, administrative support to the Senior Management Team. We are part of the Support Services administration team, which consists of Centre and Business team, Masters Education and Placements team, and Statutory, Mandatory and Essential Training team. The administration team are part of the wider Learning & Development department.
Learning & Development provide access to a wide range of opportunities which include clinical and professional development, vocational qualifications, leadership and management development as well as Apprenticeships and Functional Skills support. We support all staff from Oxford Health.
Personal development is encouraged and is supported through Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeships and other relevant IT and administration upskilling courses, alongside regular supervision and personal development review.
- All new starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process, aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale
- Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
