Job summary

We have a new term time vacancy for an Administrator for our school health nursing team in Wallingford.

We are a supportive team and we value our staff by ensuring good induction, a team buddy, regular staff management supervision and team meetings are in place.

Main duties of the job

This post is based within the school health nurse team based at Wallingford hospital and serves the local schools from Wallingford to Henley.

The school health nurse assistant is a very varied role, you will be delivering the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) by going out to schools, to height and weigh children in year 6 and reception classes, and supporting the team to deliver health promotion activities in primary and secondary schools.

There is also the general administrative element to the role, dealing with enquires from schools, parents and partner organisations, ordering of supplies and resources, while supporting the school health team with general administration.

From September 2024 this role will also include vision screening due to our new contract and is an exciting time to be in School Nursing in Oxfordshire.

Due to the nature of the work a driving license and access to a vehicle is essential for the day to day nature of this post.
