Job summary
Are you a patient focused person who would like to work during evenings and weekends, and some nights if you are up to it, with the possibility to receive the enhanced NHS rates to work during unsocial hours?
We are looking for kind and compassionate people with good communication skills who can stay calm under pressure and able to respond to patient queries in a sympathetic manner and who have good computer and administration skills and an eye for details.
The First Contact and Primary Care Service, responsible for the provision of GP Out of Hours and Minor Injuries Units across the County, working 7 days a week 365 days a year, is looking to recruit part time receptionists/drivers to join our pro-active, dynamic and dedicated Out of Hours Teams in various bases across Oxfordshire.
Up to 2 Full Time equivalent posts available, part time also available at a minimum of 15 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to work unsupervised and exercise initiative whilst carrying out reception work to support the efficient operation of the Urgent a Care and GP Out of Hours Service. This involves assisting with the handling of calls, general administrative and reception duties, performing daily checks of drugs, stock and equipment for the service vehicles and, when on driving shift, driving clinicians to visit patients at home.
You will be supported with Induction and training. There will be opportunities for progression within the service. You will be encouraged to be part of quality improvement and suggest options to enhance the service.
