Job summary
Could you be a Street Triage Clinician? Our clinicians work autonomously in the police stations giving advice to Police officers and seeing people who prevent to the police in mental health crisis.
During the shift you would work alongside an Officer and respond to emergency blue light situations to triage people in crisis and figure out the most appropriate pathway for them. We need you to have experience in working with people in crisis and have knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act, both vital in this role.
As you will be working in the Police stations you would need to be willing to engage and be successful in the police enhanced vetting process.

Police Street Triage provides a service where mental health professionals work on duty with a Police Officer at incidents where the mental ill health of an individual gives rise to concern and provide support in order to manage situations effectively. The MHPs will assist in ensuring the best option for the individuals in crisis. They will do this by offering professional advice, triaging individuals as they present, accessing health information systems, and helping to liaise with other care services to identify the right support for individuals.
