We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated full time Band 5 Occupational Therapist, to work part time hours within our low secure forensic service.
The position will be based at Lambourn House,within the Littlemore Mental Health Centre site, Oxford. Lambournis a 15-bedded, male and female, open forensic pre-discharge unit.
The post provides a unique opportunity in supporting patients to return to living in the community and developing positive links and structure.
This role includes RSU Allowance of £1,446 per annum on top of your salary.
Main duties of the job
To manage a defined caseload.
To provide Occupational Therapy that is evidence based and follows client centred principles. This will include assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating the outcome of interventions and documenting all stages of the process.
Interventions may be carried out in hospital, community settings or during home visits.
To develop skills and knowledge through participation in the Preceptorship Programme and other post-graduate opportunities.
To participate effectively as a full member of the multidisciplinary team. To contribute to the education of occupational therapy student
