We are looking for a CBT Therapist or Clinical Psychologist who is committed to supporting developing services as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will need excellent communication and organisational skills, and a keenness to be part of a busy and vibrant pathway. This is an exciting post and would suit someone who is keen to develop their skills in the Getting More Help pathway.

You will be joining the Getting More Help Pathway within BaNES CAMHS, a service which is committed to adapting to meet diverse and challenging demands and to maintaining high quality specialist assessment and intervention whilst being mindful of throughput, innovation and efficiencies.

Main duties of the job

The appointed clinician will work along side our multi-disciplinary team consisting of Nurses , Social Workers, Occupational Therapists , Family therapists , Psychologist and Consultant Psychiatrists.

You will be expected to deliver mental health assessments and risk assessments of children and young people open to the Getting More Help Team. Depending on the needs of the YP this could either be on an urgent or routine basis. Working collaboratively with CYP families/other agencies you will develop holistic plans of cares which are evidence based.

You will be expected to hold a clinical caseload of children and young people who require a psychology/CBT intervention. You will be joining our psychology team and will also be expected to provide consultation/support to other members of the team to discuss possible CYP that may require a psychology intervention.

Qualifications

Essential

  • HCPC registered as a clinical/counselling psychologist
  • Doctoral level training in Clinical/Counselling Psychology
  • Experience of working as qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist

Knowledge

Essential

  • Knowledge of a wide range of evidence based interventions
  • Ability to analyze a wide range of information in relation to complex presentations
  • Experience of working with wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity

Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience of working in CAMHS
  • Previous inpatient or community experience
