Job summary
Following a successful internal promotion, we are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic professional to join our fantastic Management Accounts team providing value, adding financial analysis. You will be a driven, proactive, and approachable professional with the desire to add value to the team and the trust as a whole.
The successful candidate will work within a smaller team, providing comprehensive financial management to the Oxfordshire and BSW Clinical Directorate encompassing budgetary control, financial advice and support and monthly reporting.
You will be proficient in excel and comfortable using pivot tables to analyse large data sets.
We actively encourage further professional development and continuing education. Therefore, we will support you in obtaining the qualification you require to successfully perform in this role, as well as offering other non-qualification based development opportunities.
Interviews will be held in person at our site in Littlemore, Oxfordshire.
Main duties of the job
As one of the faces of finance for your Directorate, you will be responsible for the delivery of the financial information required to help both your division and the Trust achieve its financial objectives.
You will meet regularly with budget managers including senior clinical and non-clinical staff and provide them with information and financial analysis. You will be able to explain complex financial information in a way in which non-financial colleagues will understand.
You will support the production of monthly financial reports, proactively investigating variances and material changes to expected patterns of income and expenditure.
You will assist in the preparation of the month end position and finance reports as part of an integrated Financial Management Team. You will liaise with the Senior Directorate Accountant in advance of, and during, the month end reporting period to support the Management Accounts team in meeting monthly deadlines.
You will proactively recommend improvements and changes to local working practices, including support to streamline processes.
You will assist in the budget setting process by preparing working papers for budget amendments in line with the budgetary control policy.
