Are you ready for a dynamic and stimulating role, managing a team of mental health social workers, occupational therapist and social care support workers across Oxfordshire?
You will be part of the leadership team, using your Social Work skills and knowledge to continue to drive the social work perspective of mental health within an integrated service ensuring that peoples needs are being met in a way that promotes good quality of life and recovery.
The core function of this post is to support the social care and mental health team's leadership to achieve the aims and objectives of the Section 75 Agreement between the Trust and Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) with particular emphasis upon integrated provision of health and social care services.
Main duties of the job
We'll need you to be a qualified Social Worker with extensive management and leadership experience who can demonstrate how you have influenced and motivated excellent practice. You will understand the importance of professional networking and have experience in working in multi-disciplinary settings. Your commitment to promoting social work values will be a strength, ensuring rights focused, anti-oppressive practice is at the heart of all that the team do.
Mental health statutory experience will be important and you will have excellent knowledge of key areas of legislation in relation to Human Rights, Mental Health Act 1983, Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and safeguarding legislation relating to both adults and children, including associated codes of practice and an understanding of local and national policy.
You will understand the importance of managing key resources including staff, finance, performance and information. Forming and maintaining relationships across the Trust, local authority and third sector agencies and partners will be a focus of the work with the aim of ensuring the needs of people with a mental health diagnosis are being met.
