We are looking for an experienced clinical lead with drive and enthusiasm, to manage and lead the community diabetes service in Oxford Health NHS.
Main duties of the job
As the Diabetic Specialist Clinical Lead you will provide expert guidance and ongoing support for the community diabetes nursing team within the Trust, as well as contributing to the wider diabetes agenda across Berkshire/Oxfordshire/Buckinghamshire (BOB) ICB. You will also lead and deliver structured Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) programmes to patients with Type 2 diabetes.
You must be able to work autonomously, as an independent prescriber with advanced clinical skills specific to diabetes.

About us
The successful candidate will be joining a committed, enthusiastic team of highly skilled diabetes specialist nurses supported by a dedicated team of administrators, in order to achieve delivery of the service. Nurses receive strong, regular clinical supervision and support from the local diabetes consultants within Oxford University Hospitals (OUH NHS FT). We are open to consideration for flexible work patterns, including a balance of home/office working.

- Teaching cert./qualification.
- Non-medical prescriber (V300) or successful completion of course.
