Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 8a Team Leader within Complex Needs Service (CNS) and Training and Vocational Initiatives in Personality Disorders (TVI-PD). The successful applicant will have the opportunity to lead the tier 3 personality disorder service in Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a service we provide psychotherapy using the Therapeutic Community model of care across all therapeutic interventions. In addition you will also lead a small training team made up of clinicians and ex-service users delivering training nationally. The successful applicant will hold responsibility for the day to day running of both services and will have the opportunity to also work clinically with in the service.

Main duties of the job

You will hold operational management responsibilities for the two services, including: signing off expenses, authorising rotas, line management supervision in the team, and monitoring performance.

You will work with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that high quality and effective care is delivered across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, for those diagnosable with personality disorder. You will also work with the wider systems to provide support and consultation for some of the more complex service users in the Trust. You will deliver psychotherapy within one of the groups that the service runs. Main duties for TVI-PD, in addition to the above you will also co-produce and co-deliver training, and act as a contact point for the ex-service users in TVI-PD.

About us

The Complex Needs Service is a highly motivated multi-disciplinary team, who are passionate about delivering the best care they can for those diagnosable with personality disorders. The team is made up of mental health and psychotherapy professionals who have an interest in the Therapeutic Community model and its adaptation to offer an integrative model of therapy.

Training and Vocational Initiatives in PD is a small team who are dedicated to supporting other services and professionals to develop skills and awareness of personality disorder. This is done co-productively with ex-service users.

We are a multi-disciplinary team, that works hard to provide excellent care to those who are diagnosable with a personality disorder. All members of the team are viewed as being important in the delivery of care regardless of their role or position. We can provide in house training to the right candidate, and opportunities to develop your skills if you are motivated. We expect all staff to be conscientious and to work as part of the whole team.
