Band 6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurse- Dermatology- Full time 37.5 hours
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurse in the Dermatology Department.
To support the Dermatology Nurse Specialist in the general management of the clinical environment, ensuring that a high quality service is provided.They will be responsible for the management and leadership of a team of nurses ensuring that staff within the team are supported and developed within their role
The shifts are rostered between Monday to Sunday:
37.5 hours worked over 5 short days or 4 longer days
Main duties of the job
We are seeking an inspirational and motivated individual for a band 6 post in the dermatology department consisting of out-patient clinics, community dermatology and support to in-patient areas.
You will have the necessary experience in undertaking nurse-led clinics, autonomous decision making, general management experience and hold Dermatology related accredited courses with at least 18 months of experience in this setting.
This would be an ideal opportunity for a band 5 dermatology nurse wishing to gain management experience and development in the speciality of dermatology.
Evidence of recent portfolio development and a commitment to further learning is required. The role will involve structured teaching for patients, colleagues and students.
