Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Diabetes and Endocrinology Consultant teams at the University Hospitals of Northamptonshire. Applications are invited from candidates with comprehensive experience in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General (I) Medicine.
Northampton General Hospital has a well-established diabetes and endocrinology service, operating from a dedicated Diabetes Centre. This is an additional post to augment a young and dynamic diabetes and endocrinology team. The post will include an GIM on call commitment (likely to be based as "hot week in EAU", subject to redesign), joining the existing 24 physicians on the on call rota. The post has 10PAs (up to 12 PAs subject to negotiation).
Main duties of the job
The role will involve both outpatient and inpatient work across the Northampton site. The successful candidate will demonstrate competencies matching the personal specification and needs to possess existing specialty knowledge and skill set required for the position.We are looking for an individual who is passionate about diabetes and endocrinology care and improving the patient experience and outcomes. Team work and integrated working is a core component of the philosophy of our local service delivery.
The successful appointee will be expected to participate in the acute on-call rota.
