Job summary
Applications are invited to join our dynamic, forward-thinking and friendly team as a Principle Clinical Scientist and MPE in Radiotherapy Physics.
To act as Medical Physics Expert as defined by legislation (currently IR(ME)R2017), specifically providing expert advice in relation to radiotherapy.
To support the development of protocols and competency frameworks for new techniques, with emphasis on those involving treatment planning.
Undertake a range of specialist scientific and clinical duties to support all sections of Radiotherapy Physics.
Main duties of the job
Be able to act as a Medical Physics Expert in all aspects of radiotherapy physics. With emphasis on providing expert advice in relation to treatment planning and image-guided radiotherapy. They will be able to demonstrate significant expertise in advanced treatment planning techniques.
Support the development of protocols and competency frameworks for new techniques.
Undertake a range of specialist scientific and clinical duties to support all sections of Radiotherapy Physics.
(Note that applicants not currently entitled as an MPE may be considered for the role if experience is otherwise appropriate, to be appointed at band 7 until formal certification by RPA2000.)
