Job summary

This post is a fixed term appointment for up to 23 months. This may be extendable after review. The post is based at Northampton General Hospital. Overseas doctors specialised in Radiology will be considered.

Main duties of the job

A job plan will be agreed and will ordinarily consist of 10 programmed activities (PAs). A sample is below but it is likely the actual job plan will be different taking into account the departmental and candidate needs.

About us

Qualifications

Essential

  • Full GMC registration.
  • MBBS or equivalent
  • FRCR or equivalent - If not yet completed FRCR, should be actively working towards obtaining this.
  • IELTS of >7.5 - if qualified outside the UK/EU or equivalent.

Desirable

  • Ambition to work towards CESR and a substantive consultant post

Experience

Essential

  • To have completed at least 4 years of training as a specialist registrar in radiology

Desirable

  • Critical appraisal of literature
  • Computer literate

Ability, Knowledge, Clinical & Technical Skills

Essential

  • A fundamental knowledge of all aspects of general radiology.
  • Broad experience and sound clinical background.

  • A knowledge of the fundamentals
